Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Finance in New York, New York

Prepare and analyze financial data for various business governance committees. Assist in funding planning, execution and forecast across the business banks' funding channels. Work on ad hoc requests and inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making process. Participate in the ongoing process improvements and optimization efforts across the treasury. Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions and inform financial decisions. Document and communication of key risks. Produce financial reports and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, and recommend changes to senior management forums and regulators. Research, analyze and recommend financial solutions around data issues and perform necessary steps to resolve. Assist with finance program management, financial reporting and ad hoc governance and regulatory requests. Maintain the team's risks and controls and associated documentation, including policies and procedures.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $112,500 and $112,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's in Global Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Financial Analyst, Accountant, or a related role. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Working with balance sheet and income statement figures; preparing daily profit and loss statements; preparing long term and short term funding forecasts for product balances and related costs; pricing funding products based on market conditions and funding needs; compiling, organizing and reconciling data for reporting and trend analysis; preparing financial reporting materials for senior management, regulators and auditors; market risk, credit risk and interest risk; working on large-scale projects involving multiple teams and departments; coordinating project efforts and schedules, keeping track of progress, and providing regular communication and updates; enhancing workflow for efficiency and controls; trade booking and booking systems; and information flows from systems to different downstream users.
