Department Profile:
The Mission of the Morgan Stanley US Banks Information Security Team is to provide strategy, oversight, and consultation regarding controls that support the US Banks within the Firm. The team partners with other risk teams and with technology within the Firm to ensure an information security risk profile that sufficiently achieves the security strategy goals aligned to the business.
Position Description:
The US Banks Information Security Team is looking for an Associate who can assist with the execution and coordination of our Incident Response processes and the support of Access Management Control processes. The candidate's work will be guided by area AVPs, VPs and EDs. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of the Bank's Information Security team to assist in the reduction of risk impacts to Bank business units. The candidate will assist in ensuring the standard of least privilege access of US Bank employee access to system capability and data is met. The candidate will leverage experience from incidents to prevent future occurrence and to provide sufficient oversight of incidents for senior management. The ideal candidate would also provide consultation on existing control implementations and define solutions which can fill gaps identified to further reduce risk based on their experience and in partnership with senior management.

The candidate should be familiar with information security best practices and be able to convey basic Information security risks to the business.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure information security incidents are consistently recorded and their representation is current.
- Work with partner risk teams to ensure incident representation is complete and consistent.
- Escalate moderate and higher risk incidents to team officers.
- Assist in maintaining role coverage for access management processes.
- Assist in prepping and completing entitlement review activities.
- Assist in metrics reporting.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Good organizational skills which can be utilized in BAU processes and during need for multi-tasking.
- Awareness of industry best-practices in Financial Services.
- Collaborative work ethic.
- Self-starter that is detail oriented with good people and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and work well in an environment with rapidly adjusting priorities.
Ideal candidate should have familiarity:
- Using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint.
- Ability to develop and plan career goals.
Additional Experiences:
- 1 to 2 Years of Relevant Experience in Information Security, or Risk Management
