Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to design and develop user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) concepts, prototypes and associated documentation for assigned applications. The UI design work includes visual look & feel, graphics and system navigation to ensure a rich and intuitive user experience. This position will work in collaboration with Marketing, Product Development, and Web Development teams.
This role is part of our Product team in the Digital Commerce and Marketing area, where we contribute to overall corporate revenue and profit objectives by effectively leveraging multi-channel marketing and analysis methods. Key focus is placed on improving customer loyalty and acquiring, retaining, and developing customers through an integrated marketing strategy that positions J. J. Keller as a safety, compliance, and best practice partner. From gathering customer data to closing a sale, the Marketing Area is the hub for numerous initiatives designed to bolster sales and improve profitability while working closely with many other departments throughout the company.

This role can work 100% remote in the US, on-site at our Corporate Campus in Neenah, WI or hybrid.
Job Responsibilities
- Works with project stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed design specifications.
- Designs and develops user interface (UI) concepts, prototypes and associated documentation for external-facing websites. Delivers all aspects of web design, including, but not limited to, balance, contrast, emphasis, consistency, and unity.
- Establishes UI design patterns for websites and creates web templates and wireframes.
- Makes certain that web design will integrate into program rules and system architecture.
- Makes certain that websites are usable for everyone, including those using assistive technology, by meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
- Stays abreast of modern technologies in the field to create innovative approaches for improving end-user experience.
- Performs UI programming (in some areas), including the creation of UI code for various applications.
- Assists with the development and implementation of QA processes related to web design, development and ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1+ years web design experience, preferably supporting external facing websites.
- 1+ years experience with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator or other similar applications).
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma or Invision a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in technology, business or communications related field with coursework in web design.
- In lieu of degree, may consider combination of closely related education and experience.
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze plans and concepts to define specifications for UI design and development.
- Strong knowledge of end-user experiences and their interaction with web applications.
- Ability to operate independently, while working as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $30.75 to $35.50 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's overall experience and geographic location.
