In this role, the intern will gain a deep understanding of the different instruments traded in the Mexican rates market, ranging from derivatives like Interest Rate Swaps and Cross Currency Swaps, to bonds, such as government nominal and inflation bonds.
The intern will have exposure to the heart of the trading business and gain an understanding of market-making and risk management, as well as the operational processes in place around these activities. The intern will also have exposure to related areas of business, such as Institutional and Corporate sales.

Main Responsabilities:
- Conduct risk calculations and perform quantitative analyses to assess potential risks associated with fixed income trading activities.
- Calculate and analyze Profit and Loss (PnL) for daily trading operations.
- Process trade confirmations and ensure accuracy in transaction records.
- Support the daily activities of the trading desk.
The intern will also have flexibility to take on projects such as market and trade data analysis, trade idea generation, and optimization of existing processes to increase the desk's productivity and profitability.
Qualifications, Experience, Other Skills:
- Academic background in Science, Math, Engineering, or others with similar strong quantitative skills are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English language are required.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Candidate must have 1.5 to 1 years of remaining college studies before graduating.
