The Opportunity: Area Clinic Manager
As an Area Clinic Manager, you’ll lead the operations of up to 12 clinics within your region, working closely with Clinic Managers, veterinarians, and our leadership team to ensure our teams thrive and deliver outstanding care. Reporting to the Director of Clinic Operations, you’ll play a key role in clinic growth, team development, and operational excellence.
This role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. You’ll spend 90% of your time in clinics across your region, with occasional travel to other markets. Nights and weekends may be required to support your teams.
What You’ll Do:
People Leadership
- Support, mentor, and develop Clinic Managers and other leaders to ensure a high-performing team.
- Partner with veterinarians and medical leaders to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Act as a communication bridge between clinics and the broader organization.
- Lead talent planning to create a pipeline of future leaders and ensure clinics are staffed with top talent.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee clinic schedules and staffing to maximize efficiency and utilization.
- Drive performance by focusing on key inputs that impact clinic success, including membership growth and appointment optimization.
- Own P&L accountability for your clinics, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
Clinic Growth & New Openings
- Support end-to-end clinic openings, from staffing to operational readiness.
- Collaborate on clinic-specific growth strategies, balancing member acquisition and retention.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in the veterinary industry, with multisite management experience.
- Proven ability to lead through change and inspire teams in a growth-focused environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- A commitment to being in the field 90% of the time, with flexibility to travel and support teams on nights and weekends as needed.
The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $144,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
