We are looking for a dedicated Benefits Specialist to join our Total Rewards team. This role primarily focuses on supporting the administration of employee benefits for our U.S. workforce while providing assistance to international offices. Additionally, the Benefits Specialist will help with general HR operations, contributing to a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and support, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to enrollment, claims, and coverage.
  • Coordination of the annual benefits open enrollment process, including preparing communication materials, system configuration and assisting employees with enrollment.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials to inform employees about benefits programs and HR policies.
  • Ensure benefits programs adhere to relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare documentation for compliance reporting and audits as needed.
  • Assist in managing relationships with benefits providers and third-party administrators to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Support the review of vendor performance and participate in the renewal process.
  • Support the implementation of a third-party Leave of Absence (LOA) platform, and collaborate with the vendor and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure a seamless and positive experience for employees navigating LOA cases.
  • Provide additional support to the Total Rewards and People Operations teams, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations and HR practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms (ADP, Workday) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
