Coordinator, Local Media Strategic Planning

MLB is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Coordinator to join our Strategic Planning team to work on the Local RSN business. As a Coordinator, you will play a crucial role assisting the MLB Local Sponsorship team in creating effective advertising solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, MLB Club contacts, internal stakeholders and clients/agencies to manage media proposals. Your expertise and your ability to analyze industry trends will contribute to the success of our advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage local MLB media purchase orders from internal and external sellers, including order creation, order revisions, deal stewardship and added value execution
  • Work closely with the sales operations, traffic, and strategic planning teams daily to ensure smooth execution of local media campaigns and that all client objectives are met
  • Analyze and provide data to help advise in sales negotiations and provide post-campaign analysis to clients
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase media revenue through targeted sales efforts, cross-platform monetization, and upselling opportunities
  • Track media and revenue while analyzing campaign performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging media platforms, and new tools that can improve media strategies and tactics

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and media monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms
  • Basic understanding of MLB local media best practices
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with media professionals and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in media sales, advertising, or a related field
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience working in a professional sport and/or media environment
  • A collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities

Pay Range: $64,500 - $67,000

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
