Summary
As a VP-level quantitative credit risk rating model developer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the model development and maintenance in an intellectually interesting environment. You will join the Credit Risk Analytics group and partakes in the re-design and re-development of credit risk rating models (PD rating models) for the bank's wholesale portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Work in a small team re-developing and maintaining credit risk rating (PD rating) models for wholesale credit portfolios.
- Develop credit risk rating methodologies, algorithms, and tools for model development as well as for testing of model robustness, stability, and overall performance.
- Implement quantitative analytical tools and support model implementation to the production environment.

Qualifications
- Ideally a PhD in statistics, economics, or physics. Strong master's degree in these fields will be considered. Applicable work in related quantitative fields such as math or statistics will also be considered.
- At least 5 years of hands-on quantitative model development / validation experience and proficiency in handling very large and complex data sets.
- Experience in a quantitative role in risk management at a financial institution with experience in either model development or validation.
- Exceptional skills in quantitative methods (hypothesis testing, regressions, simulation e.g., MCMC etc.)
- Strong practical experience using python or R to build and test statistical models/risk rating/scoring.
- General knowledge of wholesale banking, corporate accounting and credit risk rating evaluation.
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to influence and convince stakeholders throughout model lifecycle.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and strong project management and organizational skills.
The expected base salary ranges from $127,500 - $180,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
