This is an opportunity to join Meta's Benelux Public Policy team. We are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Public Policy Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg. You will join the Benelux Public Policy team, this team lead all aspects of Meta's public policy work in this important market for Meta. You will help shape product and policy conversations with policymakers in Parliament, in Government, and in the broader business sector/civil society. You will also advise our internal teams and leadership on the public policy implications of our products and wider positions as a company.The role requires significant experience either working with or in Government, politics, regulatory agencies or think tanks in Belgium, as well as grasping complex technical and policy issues. You will need knowledge of existing tech policy debates in Belgium and Luxembourg, ideally including solid knowledge of digital policy issues. Successful candidates will enjoy public speaking and be excited about the possibility of representing Meta externally, including in difficult, high-stakes conversations with external stakeholders.

Public Policy Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Public Policy Benelux to shape and ensure delivery of national strategies in support of Meta's policy and product agendas.
- Through close collaboration with internal policy and product teams, ensure consistency of Meta's Benelux policy engagement strategies with our global policy agenda
- Represent Meta to external policy stakeholders at events, conferences, technical meetings with regulators, and other public fora including in the Parliaments in Belgium and Luxembourg
- Brief executives across Meta on the risks and opportunities emerging from the policy and political landscape in the region.
- Advise Meta's internal teams on regional policy matters to guide development of products and policies
- Build compelling campaign narratives and third party mobilisation strategies in collaboration with Meta's Europe Campaigns team and other cross-functional teams
- 8+ years of government and/or public policy experience
- Experience working on the policy issues relating to online safety, technology and AI
- English plus Dutch or French fluent
- First hand experience with the Belgian legislative process will be an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of Belgium's technology, online platform and AI landscape, particularly major academic centers, start-ups, trade bodies, government institutions and public commentators.
- Understanding of how to translate technical issues into persuasive public policy advocacy.
