The Global Response team manages risks associated with elections, widespread violence, and readiness to comply with regulation that impact Meta's users and business. Global Response comprises in-region risk management teams with a US-based team that works closely with product and operations, ensuring the global prioritization of complex issues, global-regional alignment, and the development and implementation of globally consistent playbooks.The team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to work with product, policy and operations teams, including with members of Meta's leadership team, on some of the highest priority issues across the company. The Program Manager will be responsible for developing robust strategies, structures and systems to ensure that the company is prepared for, and can respond effectively to, risks.

Program Manager APAC, Global Response Responsibilities:
- Systematically anticipate, understand and prioritise risks at the country level and incorporate this information into risk mitigation plans.
- Lead cross-functional risk mitigation preparation and responses, aligning systems and processes at both the global and regional level.
- Drive scalable capacity building and globally consistent playbooks on politically and socially sensitive issues or issues prone to regulation.
- Absorb a significant amount of information from a variety of inputs to help frame and communicate product, policy, and process requirements.
- Clearly communicate challenges, recommendations and trade-offs to executives.
- Collaborate with other people on the Global Response team to develop long-term roadmaps to mitigate risks globally.
- Some international travel and meetings outside standard business hours will be required.
- 5+ years experience, focusing on risk mitigation, political or societal issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Understanding of the geopolitical, social, and regulatory dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region that impact Meta.
- Experience managing time-sensitive, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders from diverse functions.
- Experience quickly developing multiple courses of action to mitigate risk, taking into account dependencies, incomplete information, resource constraints and second order effects.
- Experience balancing global, regional and country-level priorities, and taking the initiative to develop and execute risk mitigation plans within such constraints.
- Experience working with executives, including briefing complex problems with difficult trade-offs and providing insightful recommendations and action plans.
- Degree in public policy, politics, international relations, law or related degrees with interdisciplinary focus.
- Knowledge of Meta's mission, history, community and values.
- Experience working in a diverse workplace.
