The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for overall implementation, Deployment and Technical Delivery of Greenfield & Brownfield fiber deployments and leased IRUs into the Meta production environment. Activities will include project managing the day to day activity of network development projects in North America, managing partners/contractors to deliverables, identifying and mitigating project risks and developing and managing project budgets ensuring on-time delivery of network to the business. In this role, you will collaborate with Network Development, Network Planning, Edge Network Deployment, Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement long-term infrastructure build plans considering construction timelines, ROW feasibility, and budget needs
  • Receive new Projects to Implementation stage via Project Kickoff Document including full E2E requirements support Master Project Requirements
  • Coordinate and manage build partners, engineering and construction firms and associated project budget/s
  • Identification and completion of network add/move/change projects
  • Support tracking and management of ROW and permit acquisition process in conjunction with a deadline driven deployment schedule of design and construction
  • Mitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, planning, and partnership
  • Communicate upward of project risks to both timeline and budget
  • Drive Quality Assurance and Quality Control of project management system updates/reporting
  • Support the sourcing and management of the supply chain for primary OSP project needs
  • Service delivery of Project deliverables to Meta Cross Functional Partner teams, including all E2E elements in support of MPR(s) as applicable
  • Development of Fiber Acceptance and Delivery packages in accordance with Meta Standards
  • Collaborate with Sourcing & Net/Dev on new Project Opportunities, potential partner / vendor identification, buildability & High Level Project Budget
  • Work closely with finance to develop business plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Partner with the General Contractor and other Vendors to build an environment of meaningful collaboration
  • Collaborate with Internal Cross Functional Partners
  • Support internal team and other cross-functional departments as needed
  • Promote and model an outlook of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications
  • Promote and model an outlook of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback
  • Experience and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time within North America
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Negotiation skills and experience to problem solve
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, with experience using spreadsheet tools and/or programs
  • Experience preparing and presenting quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis and reports
  • Detail oriented with experience managing multiple cross-functional tasks and projects
  • Understanding of key telecom milestones for delivery of dark fiber routes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of project management experience with a focus on Telecom and/or utility construction preferred
  • Experience with the procurement of new route construction services and materials
  • Telecom outside and/or inside plant experience
  • Knowledge of capital budget management. (i.e. project forecasting, management of accruals)

$50.96/hour to $156,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
