Redmond, WA

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Test Engineer to join our team, who will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems and validation systems for future consumer wearables experiences. The ideal candidate will have a broad set of validation experiences, including embedded design, analog/mixed signal design, power systems, wearables, or lower power design. More broadly, the candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.

Electrical Test Engineer (R&D) Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test solutions to support validation of research hardware throughout the entire development cycle: early prototyping, NFF bring-up, Form-Factor design, and production volume/scaling. Scope includes power, haptics, image sensors, inertial sensors, battery life, high-speed serial buses, etc.
  • Write tooling in Python and other programming languages to interact with devices under test, standard lab equipment, custom instrumentation, and datasets.
  • Develop new capabilities to enable analysis of test data, providing a clear view of system level performance against spec targets.
  • Work with validation team, design engineers, and other cross-functional teams to drive development of test automation infrastructure based on business needs.
  • Understand project goals, participate in engineering design reviews, provide Design for Test input, and deliver results toward system validation objectives.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing test infrastructure, working closely with cross functional teams to root cause and address failures.
