To support our 3.8B+ users, Meta develops and deploys infrastructure at scale globally across data centers, which includes compute, storage, networking, and AI servers and racks. Global Supply Chain Technology Sourcing owns the sourcing strategy development, external business relationships, internal engineering partnerships, and execution of new product ideas from conception to deployment at scale. The team combines commercial, technical, and operations/manufacturing expertise to progress advances in critical infrastructure domains supporting Meta's artificial intelligence (AI) vision and goals. Meta is seeking a leader that possess business and technical capabilities to influence infrastructure strategy, minimize risk across supply chain, and optimize cost. The leader in this role will own the commercial relationship and supply agreements with Meta's ODM design partners and manufacturers of compute, storage, and AI platforms. Together with numerous internal partners, you will develop sourcing strategies that address the unique needs of supply chain and manufacturing at hyperscale to ensure the timely delivery of quality infrastructure products globally.

Commercial Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage and refresh commodity sourcing strategies and roadmaps for ODM and strong understanding of the actively managed adjacent technologies such as OEM and JDM.
  • Drive supplier proposals, RFP/RFI/RFQ and business awards. Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote process.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the ODM technologies and perform competitive analysis on relevant products.
  • Provide technical commodity and supplier expertise and consulting to design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO.
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with executive management at core ODM suppliers. Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met.
  • Own commercial and operational supply chain expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements.
  • Support product transfer from NPI to mass-production.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management in a high tech environment.
  • 10+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, cloud service providers, Compute, or AI system server and hardware supply chain and associated industries.
  • Proven experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources.
  • Experience working with and managing ODM, JDM, and OEM suppliers.
  • Experience working with contractual agreements such as MSA, MPA, and SOW.
  • In-depth understanding of ODM supply chain cost structures and models supply design for value trade-offs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and senior leaders in top ODM/OEM supplier partners.
  • Experience working with and managing Component, Software, and Services suppliers.
  • MS or MBA degree

$171,000/year to $239,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
