The Global Technology Hardware Sourcing Team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The Foundry, Packaging & IP Commercial Sourcing Manager will act as the primary commercial contact for interfacing with foundries, packaging houses and IP suppliers. Sourcing activities will include, but not be limited to, identification of Foundry/Packaging/IP availability and options with tradeoffs, developing and leading negotiation and sourcing strategies, partnering with Meta ASIC Engineering teams to develop a business and technology roadmap in support of Meta's ASIC goals and objectives and driving strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. Working closely with the ASIC Engineering Teams, the Sourcing Manager will lead the commercial engagements for prototype sourcing and development in support of new product development and introduction. The Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for the deployment of selected solutions and technologies, and supplier management. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for contracts, negotiations, development models, IP, licensing, and the development of global commodity and supply chain strategies to enable Meta to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing the total landed cost.

Commercial Sourcing Manager - Foundry, Packaging, IP Responsibilities:
  • Current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the Foundry, Packaging & IP landscape and perform competitive analysis on relevant products.
  • Develop, manage and refresh sourcing strategies and roadmaps for advanced technology investments and deployment plans.
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with executive management at core suppliers.
  • Provide commodity and/or supplier expertise and consulting to ASIC design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO.
  • Drive supplier proposals and RFQs.
  • Own expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements.
  • Support product transfer from advanced investments to mass-production.
  • Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met.
  • Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote process and formalize business awards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of business or supply chain experience in the semiconductors, data center, hyperscalers, cloud service providers, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain, business management.
  • BSEE or degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management, business development, product management in a high tech environment.
  • Knowledge of ASIC Design flows.
  • Experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results.
  • Experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources.
  • Background in cost modeling for supply chain and design for value trade-offs.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in top foundry, packaging, IP, ASIC suppliers/partners.

  • Leadership and management experience.

$144,000/year to $201,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
