We build software for Meta first.The Collaboration Technologies Engineering team is focused on building software to support Collaboration Technologies within the Operations division of Enterprise Engineering. The team focuses on automation across 4 diverse areas: media (video), products, cloud (AWS), and data engineering. The team is involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to sustaining and everything in between. Most of what we do is full stack development. We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to help lead these efforts.

Collaboration Technologies Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team responsible for a wide array of software utilizing multiple technologies
  • Drive efficiency while leveraging automation and innovation to scale and support Meta's needs
  • Help engineers develop their careers, assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles
  • Balance the need to "keep things running" with allocating time to long-term, high-impact projects
  • Be an escalation point for issues related to the team's products
  • Collaborate with the other engineering manager on the team to drive overall engineering strategy
  • Work closely with PMs to ensure we're building what customers really need and communicating out to the org
  • As needed: contribute to technical architectures, tooling needs, automation plans and other issues and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical enhancements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience leading and managing teams within an engineering organization
  • 5+ years as an engineer doing hands-on software development.
  • Experience building or structuring organizations
  • Experience thinking strategically with analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Experience in identifying, utilizing, and communicating service level performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven relationship management experience and experience working within a global organization
  • MS in Computer Science

$169,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
