Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex databases using new technologies.
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Participate in all aspects of database design including designing for replication, performance monitoring-tuning, backup and recovery, scripting, software installation / upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Administer database users and database security in accordance with mandatory enterprise-wide guidelines.
- Create and maintain documentation of all production policies, procedures, server configurations, error logs, maintenance records and product troubleshooting instructions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues that affect the systems, servers and database related products.
- Work with Oracle technologies including RAC, ASM, partitioning, security, performance turning, and memory management, SQL tuning, statistics gathering, application audit logs, and scheduling utilizing performance tuning tools including Explain Plan, AWR, and Grid control.
- Implement Oracle 9i/10g/11g/12c Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Cluster Interconnects, Load balancing and designing failover systems on UNIX and Linux platforms.
- Configure physical standby database using Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.
- Configure and maintaining replication using Oracle Golden Gate at table and schema level.
- Perform duplicating database using RMAN and working in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Working with Oracle technologies including RAC, ASM, partitioning, security, performance turning, and memory management, SQL tuning, statistics gathering, application audit logs, and scheduling utilizing performance tuning tools including Explain Plan, AWR, and Grid control;
- Implementing Oracle 9i/10g/11g/12c Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Cluster Interconnects, Load balancing and designing failover systems on UNIX and Linux platforms;
- Configuring physical standby database using Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery;
- Configuring and maintaining replication using Oracle Golden Gate at table and schema level; and,
