RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Ensure the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practice and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes.
  • Build significant experience through multiple software implementations and develop both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
  • Design and develop applications for Android platform using Java and Kotlin following the MVP and MVVM design patterns.
  • Perform web-service integration using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTML.
  • Utilize various developments including Android studio and XCode to write code and develop software for iOS and Android devices.
  • Review and merge code through source control tools using Bitbucket.
  • Create and maintain design artifacts to ensure adherence of service and UX deliverance to application standards.
  • Create and configure build scripts for Android applications and libraries using Jenkins server.
  • Provide support during application launches and monitor the applications' health post production launch using Splunk and Glassbox.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and developing applications for Android platform using Java and Kotlin following the MVP and MVVM design patterns;
  • Performing web-service integration using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTML;
  • Utilizing various developments including Android studio and XCode to write code and develop software for iOS and Android devices;
  • Reviewing and merging code through source control tools using Bitbucket;
  • Creating and maintaining design artifacts to ensure adherence of service and UX deliverance to application standards;
  • Creating and configuring build scripts for Android applications and libraries using Jenkins server; and,
  • Providing support during application launches and monitoring the applications' health post production launch using Splunk and Glassbox.
