Job Summary:
The individual will be part of the Inventory Management team supporting fixed income securities settlements via the Bank of New York Mellon system. This individual will interact with trading, middle office business partners, various operations teams, and external clients & depositories. Primary responsibilities would include handling the day to day security settlement and exceptions, balancing, and processing cash movements (wires) . Also, performing other related control functions such as prompt break & issue resolution, escalation, reporting, and general risk & control oversight along with other functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Resolve transaction failures promptly and efficiently.
- Handle settlement processes including wire payments, transfers, and routing.
- Address same day exceptions and ensure resolution of next day breaks.
- Collaborate closely and various teams to provide accurate and timely response to inquiries.
- Serve as primary point of support for multiple clients.
- Offer secondary support to other desks and team members as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines and stressful situations.
- Exceptional organizational and communicational skills
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of fixed income products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other PC tools
- Problem -solving skills with the ability to articulate requirements and escalate issues effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
