Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading enterprise-wide talent development and organizational design solutions. Key responsibilities include supporting senior business leaders to identify strategies directly linked to organizational goals and implement leadership solutions across the business. Job expectations include partnering with Global Talent, Global Human Resources (GHR), business stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and vendors to execute enterprise talent processes and provide consultative support to lead the design, development, and implementation of talent development.

Global Human Resources (GHR) Global Talent client managers help leaders shape Bank of America culture, organizations, teams and talent. The Global Talent Consultant II is a key member of the GCIB/ Global Markets Talent Team. They will collaborate with business and HR Leaders to develop business-specific leadership and organizational effectiveness solutions. Key areas of focus include Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement. This position directly supports our most senior leaders in the Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) organization.

This is a critical position with responsibility for ensuring achievement of key business outcomes through the utilization of impactful and proven leadership and organization development services. The successful candidate will have a familiarity with GCIB businesses and talent profiles, be a results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company and influence a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. Specific responsibilities for this critical role include but are not limited to:

  • Consults, coordinates and executes core Global Talent processes, in alignment with LOB needs
  • Leads and facilitates role design, organization design and organization effectiveness initiatives aligned to business goals
  • Drives improvements in manager effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Leads organizational change and transformation of a critical function
  • Applies expertise in Global Talent to identify opportunities, strategies, and solutions that are directly linked to organizational and business goals
  • Partners with business and HR leaders to deliver talent plans and talent management strategies that ensure strong succession plans and a bench of talented future leaders. Responsibility for title promotion processes as well as talent planning and integration with diversity strategy. Support integration with other lines of business.
  • Supports executives in building/developing strong teams.
  • Provides and supports executive coaching to key leaders in the lines of business.
  • Helps lead implementation of key leadership and talent initiatives and processes, e.g. 360 feedback, performance management, career planning, employee engagement.
  • Builds strong relationships to partner effectively with a variety of constituents (compensation, talent acquisition and other) in building integrated people processes.
  • Identifies, develops and leads the implementation of multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with competing priorities.
  • Ensures optimal alignment between the business' strategies, future state operating model and the organizational capabilities required to deliver on them.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with business and Human Resources (HR) leaders to design and deliver talent management strategies and talent development plans that ensure effective succession planning and a bench of future leaders
  • Leads, designs, and implements key leadership development processes and HR initiatives such as talent and succession planning, performance management, organizational design and effectiveness, manager development, 360 feedback, and program nominations
  • Executes talent management strategy and organizational design across local, regional, and enterprise teams and partners while ensuring compliance with rules and regulations
  • Provides consultative support and coaching to key leaders focused on promoting and developing diverse and top talent
  • Maximizes business and enterprise objectives and outcomes by implementing strategic talent solutions leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
  • Partners with control functions (e.g., Corporate Communications, Legal, Risk, Compliance) to mitigate people risk and effectively communicate people moves and talent processes to impacted stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience within a Global Talent or Human Resources related job function
  • Experience working in a large, complex, global organization with a sophisticated client base. Financial Services industry experience preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in role design, organization design and organization effectiveness strategies
  • Must have demonstrated experience with managing change and leading organizational transformation
  • Strong leadership and client engagement skills, including the ability to communicate, influence and coach at the senior leader level.
  • Strong business acumen and highly developed analytical and data skills, as well as superior intellect and judgment.
  • Excellent project management skills, technology proficiency, systems thinking and quality orientation; performance consulting skills including ability to translate strategy into specific goals, tactics and deliverables.
  • Capable of thinking about processes end-to-end and considering pitfalls, barriers, and opportunities along the way
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, facilitation, client service orientation, leadership, influence, teamwork and collaboration.
  • Track record of execution with high attention to detail and outstanding client satisfaction. Willing to play both strategy/planning and detailed execution role.
  • Must possess a client-centric orientation and collaborate well with others
  • Strong relationship management skills required, including the ability to interact, communicate, and influence peers and partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment. Able to navigate in highly complex, matrixed organization and comfortable with ambiguity

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$96,800.00 - $170,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
