Job Description:
Manage a group or process(potentially global). Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Recommend remediation of control gaps and implements effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in and lead user acceptance testing of data control processes. Understand existing risk systems, data flows, and infrastructure to identify gaps between business usage of data and current implementations. Recommend alternate data sources and processes to improve the control environment. Lead cross functional strategic efforts to remediate data quality issues. Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.

Job Description Summary:
The Data and Product Owner for Climate Risk will play a pivotal role in the GRA organization, leading the charge in developing and managing data-driven products and workflow solutions that assess and mitigate climate-related risks. This position calls for an individual with a strong background in data and product management, combined with a deep understanding of climate change and the impact across all risk categories including credit, market, liquidity, strategic, operational, reputational and compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical data analysis and strategic product development, ensuring our products effectively support the identification, measurement, monitoring and control of climate-related risks, challenges, and opportunities.

In this role, you will:
• Develop and manage innovative data products focused on climate risk assessment and mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data scientists and engineers to define product vision and strategy.
• Oversee the entire data and product lifecycle, from ideation through development, launch, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize a deep understanding of climate science to inform data/product development and ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze complex datasets to be leveraged in climate models for risk identification, measurement, monitoring and control.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure products meet high standards of quality, usability, and reliability.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and stakeholder needs.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in data/product management.
• Strong understanding of climate science and risk analysis.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$108,000.00 - $185,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
