As we scale and expand, we are seeking a motivated and experienced People Operations Specialist to join our lean, high-performing People team. You will support employees in both the US and Germany, ensuring the smooth operation of People functions and providing assistance across various HR areas.

You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive and productive workplace, enhancing the employee experience across the entire lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding—while managing HR data, systems, payroll, reporting and supporting key People programs and projects.

What will you be doing?
- Support the People team’s implementation of initiatives that support business objectives and promote a positive work environment
- Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with other teams and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Organize, maintain, and audit personnel records
- Own and manage HR systems and tech stack
- Act as first point of contact for People-related queries
- Identify inefficiencies to HR systems, processes and standards, and execute effective solutions to drive efficiency, self-service and scalability
- Manage the benefits programs and the annual benefits enrollment process
- Own payroll processing and providing functional support for incentive programs
- Prepare HR reporting and data analysis to inform decision-making
- Support People programs such as performance and compensation reviews
- Apply knowledge of, and ensure compliance with federal and state legislation including, but not limited to ADA, FMLA, EEO, OSHA, etc.
- Help the team solve problems and facilitate change in imaginative and practical ways
- Play an active role in internal communications, education and training
- Support the workplace experience team as needed, including hosting company events, recognition and appreciation programs
- Deliver special projects as needed
What experience/skills are required?
- You've done this before—you have experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion; 4+ years’ experience as a Generalist in the People Space or similar role in the People space
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems
- Experience working with PEOs such as TriNet, JustWorks or similar
- Proficiency with Lattice, Asana and Monday.com a plus
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Google products
- An understanding of People practices and federal and state labor laws
- Must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities simultaneously and not be afraid to “roll up your sleeves”
- Experience with project management and ability to drive programs independently and towards aggressive deadlines
- Strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-developed writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly across all levels of an organization
- Customer first mindset
Compensation
- The cash compensation range for this role is $113,000 - $132,000
- Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all employees receive an equity compensation package.
