We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

The Specialist Manufacturing Automation in the West Point Digital Manufacturing Operations organization will be responsible for supporting process automation systems in manufacturing.

The candidate will provide day to day support functions working closely with partners in operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality.

  • Troubleshooting challenging equipment/automation issues to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Developing and supporting corrective actions for investigations related to automation systems.
  • Developing code changes and associated change controls to improve system performance, provide new functionality, or address new equipment.
  • Ensure Automation compliance with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
  • Participating in audits and training programs in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide support of Department activities such as user additions / removals; Preventative Maintenance and Periodic Reviews of automated systems

Education:

  • High School Diploma and equivalent.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience of relevant work experience.
  • Applies general knowledge of company business developed through education or past experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment
  • DeltaV DCS, Allen-Bradley PLC, OPC, ASi/Field/Profibus or other related technologies.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 2 years of experience (GMP Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing Automation)
  • Experience in GMP Manufacturing - pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry.
  • Networking, Virtual Machines, Database management and other general IT administration.
  • Understands and applies regulatory/ compliance requirements relative to their role.
  • Networking, Virtual Machines, Database management and other general IT administration.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Spotfire, PowerBI)
