Within the Development Sciences and Clinical Supply (DSCS) organization, the Digital Program Manager will advance the purpose and aspiration of our Company's DSCS Digital Strategy to enable a seamless data infrastructure that drives increased speed, capacity and robustness across organizational deliverables. In this role, the DSCS Digital Program Manager will provide strategic and tactical direction and partner with the DSCS Digital Leadership Team to drive the Digital Strategy for our organization, comprising of Process Research & Development, Analytical Research & Development, and Pharmaceutical Sciences & Clinical Supply. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills and a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, with an established track record in solving complex problems. Experience in one or more of the areas of Drug Substance development, Drug Product development, Clinical Supply management or Analytical Research is critical for understanding business opportunities, outcomes and execution. A passion for the value that digital solutions can bring to our operations is desirable.

The DSCS Digital Program Manager will:
- Work with the DSCS Digital Leadership Team, workstream leads and use case leads to define scope, build an integrated plan, track progress, risks, issues, mitigation plans and value realization.
- Partner closely with IT and its Program Management to ensure alignment across planning and investment.
- Set up, facilitate, and drive cross-functional meetings and workshops.
- Map and monitor in-flight and planned projects in the adjacent digital landscapes that have the potential to impact DSCS Digital timelines and investments, and to inform what can be leveraged that is already in flight and identify gaps that need to be addressed.
Knowledge, Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively manages and influences the DSCS Digital core team and extended team to ensure appropriately skilled and high-performing staff members are assigned to the program with the right time commitment, raising resource concerns in real-time with functional leadership.
- Set clear performance standards and hold self and team members accountable for achieving results.
- Develop business and technical content and compose complex presentations and both intra- and inter-divisional communications.
- Optimize program execution inclusive of Scope, Quality, Timeline and Budget.
- Partner with our Company IT leadership to develop a long-term systems and capability strategy and to prioritize DSCS Digital efforts.
- Apply expert project and portfolio management skills effectively, with relatively broad managerial direction and minimal oversight.
- Use an understanding of CMC processes to drive value for the DSCS organization through its digital investments.
- Develop and implement a change management strategy to penetrate a broad swath of stakeholders
Qualifications
Education:
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
- B.S. or M.S. with a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
- Concentration in a scientific-related discipline strongly preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
- Research, manufacturing, and project/program management experience in pharma
- Demonstrated ability to establish networks, build connections, and work across boundaries.
- Proven ability to lead the planning and execution of cross-functional strategic change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage scope, time, and cost of enterprise projects; is business savvy and results-oriented.
- Effective at conveying a vision, energizing others, establishing goals, delegating responsibility, mentoring and coaching.
- Well-developed and effective team facilitation and leadership skills; consistently establishes cooperative team environments.
- Knows when and how to appropriately raise issues and drive discussion within peer groups and with senior management.
- Demonstrated courage of conviction - able to speak up / contribute to all circles; comfortable challenging ideas or proposals, including senior management.
- Brings forward creative ideas and contributes to setting strategic plans for assigned projects and departments.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
