We are seeking an experienced Director to lead our Performance Marketing Analytics team and drive the development and implementation of innovative data-driven solutions for our McKesson Medical Surgical business. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and holistic marketing measurement, as well as proven leadership skills and experience managing a team of data analysts.

Primary objectives and responsibilities:

Strategy development: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define channel analytics strategies aligned with overall business goals. This includes identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), measurement strategy and metrics to measure channel effectiveness. Data analysis: Leveraging data from various sources (such as sales, marketing, customer interactions, and online platforms) to conduct in-depth analysis and derive actionable insights. This may involve using statistical techniques, data visualization, and predictive modeling to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Performance tracking: Monitoring and evaluating channel performance based on established metrics. This includes setting benchmarks, tracking progress, and reporting on key findings to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders. Channel optimization: Identifying areas for improvement and optimization within different channels, such as sales channels, marketing campaigns, or customer service interactions. This may involve conducting A/B testing, leveraging customer research, and recommending strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Forecasting and predictive analytics: Using historical data and statistical models to forecast future channel performance, anticipate customer needs, and predict market trends. This helps in making data-driven decisions and proactive planning.

Other Responsibilities

  • Understand and anticipate stakeholders’ analytic needs, gather user requirements, help drive adoption.
  • Cultivate business development opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining long-term stakeholder relationships and networks.
  • Set the strategy for marketing data products in compliance of data governance policies and procedures.

Experience: 10+ years in data science, with a track record of delivering innovative data-driven solutions.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or similar field of quantitative study; Advanced degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field.

Critical Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience managing a team of data analysts, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with the development or usage of Marketing Mix Models and / or Multi Touch Attribution.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including data preprocessing, model selection, and evaluation.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or SQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and define problems, collect, and analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$143,800 - $239,600
