How will you make an impact?

As the Director of Sales for Pharma Analytics at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will be responsible for developing the global sales strategy for the Pharma Analytics business unit within the Bioproduction Division. You will collaborate with regional PA specialist teams, regional channel managers, and divisional regional commercial teams to create new business opportunities and drive revenue growth. Your role will involve managing the sales pipeline, engaging with customers, and supporting the professional development of your team members to achieve our ambitious goals.

What will you do?

Own the Execution of the Revenue Plan:

  • Effectively manage the PA technical sales teams to achieve the financial targets supporting long-term business growth.
  • Develop regional objectives, define sales metrics, and encourage teams to achieve these goals.
  • Work with channel leaders to ensure the promotion of PA products and secure channel sales targets.
  • Develop strategies to optimize business channels globally.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly budgets and staffing plans to support strategic business plans.
  • Partner with Finance to develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, aligning with market penetration strategies.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy through rigorous maintenance of sales pipeline data in the CRM system.

Drive Team to Ensure Tactics are Aligned with Strategy:

  • Lead a comprehensive sales approach to drive increased revenue across all portfolio components.
  • Foster a "hunter mentality" within the team to expand the customer base and grow new business, increasing market share.
  • Collaborate with leaders from various departments to develop strategies that promote customer engagement and align customer needs with the value offered by the Bio-Production Division.

Manage Talent:

  • Identify and recruit the necessary skills, deploy and develop personnel resources to achieve plan targets.
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork, bringing to bear the overall strengths of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

How will you get here?

  • Education: B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in bio-production sales, with over 5 years in people management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business-level sales plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performance sales teams, commanding respect from both technical and business teams.
  • Proficiency in developing sales strategies and plans.
  • Proficient in using CRM (Salesforce) to measure and review activity, progress towards sales goals, and results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%, both domestically and internationally.
