The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and routing customer shipments; as well as preparing and completing all necessary paperwork for each shipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESP

The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and routing customer shipments; as well as preparing and completing all necessary paperwork for each shipment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. This list is not all inclusive.

  • Track all Inbound Ocean/land containers
  • Update daily Detention Report
  • Update daily Inbound Report– Send the guards an updated list of Inbound Ocean/Land containers.
  • Notify Carriers of Empty containers
  • Update GT Nexus with Containers unloaded date – Inbound Database
  • Create Manual Inbound Load in Ryder (IPT’S and other rush shipments as needed)
  • Set Delivery Appts for SWDC (returns, Promo, Maintenance, Inventory)
  • Track Containers/Airfreight that are past delivery date
  • Filing and maintaining BOL’s within retention.
  • Assist team in printing loads, backorders, deselects and other functions on an as needed basis. 
  • Assist in scheduling TL, LTL, AIR and package pickups
  • Follow up with all carrier’s when scheduled loads are missed. 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Computer Knowledge
  • Experience in customer service
  • Logistics knowledge/experience
  • Able to collaborate with employees at all levels within the warehouse
  • MS Office proficiency
  • High school diploma or GED.
