Job Description Summary

In this role, you will develop our Lean Strategy to improve business operations and transform the culture globally. You will play a critical role in high profile business improvement initiatives and problem solve our most important business challenges. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in Lean Transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across complex businesses and global locations.

The Lean Transformation Leader will focus on creating, supporting, and driving improvement efforts tied to the company's most critical business processes, including innovation, engineering, operations, and enabling functions. The goal is to positively impact results and culture by leading change, establishing standards, institutionalizing daily management processes, and adopting consistent problem-solving methods. The Aero Alliance Core Values and Lean will be an integral part of the way we run our business for the long-term. In addition to building our Lean culture and capabilities, one of the explicit goals of the team is to accelerate our culture journey by enabling our future leaders with Lean.

Job Description

  • Shape the Aero Alliance lean vision, in accordance with the business lean strategy, and translate the vision into strategies, goals and objectives resulting in cross-functional cultural change which delivers consistent, year-over-year results across all facets of the business
  • Lead the deployment of common lean tools and support the lean enterprise across Aero Alliance.
  • Take daily action aligned to BU or Segment priorities and help drive the Monthly Operating Reviews and Problem Solving
  • On selected initiatives, lead deployment of full Lean toolbox. Hoshin, VSM, PSR, Standard Work, Kaizen events driving process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Targets would include Safety, Quality, Cycle and Cost
  • Support simplification of complex processes and manage cross functional relationships to support business impact
  • Provide key output data, metrics and presentations for reporting, operations reviews and business communication
  • Share best practices and act as conduit to accelerate cross business progress
  • Participate as member of senior leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Advanced experience in Lean, Operations, EHS or Quality leading problem-solving and process improvement

Desired Characteristics:

  • Significant global experience in operations or general management and deep business acumen (business literacy, analysis, insight and design).
  • Operational Leadership Demonstrated ability to execute key operational outcomes and drive hands on problem solving as a lean practitioner
  • Lean. Candidate has proven track record of results using Lean methodologies. The candidate is experienced within a mature lean management system or demonstrates lean learning agility (flexibility, collaboration, information gathering, feedback)
  • Partner, Advisor and Coach to SLT. Demonstrated influence of senior leadership related to strategic priorities of the business
  • Hoshin Kanri. Experienced leading Hoshin Kanri and ability to translate business strategy and gaps to Hoshin that align to key business outcomes
  • Transformation. Experienced in creation and coaching of lean culture including action plans for significant transformation results

For US based candidates only, for purposes of complying with US pay transparency requirements the base pay range for this position is $170,000 to $350,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's geographic location, experience, education, skill set, and work location. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation and equity. Benefits include health and additional benefits.
