The Team:

The Global Procurement Logistics team drives the procurement of goods and services needed to support Mattel’s global operations. As Procurement Analyst, you will have the opportunity to actively support the strategic roadmap execution, analyze and provide visibility on internal and external metrics that drive decision making, support RFP execution, and implement controls that mitigate business and compliance risks.

The Opportunity: 

This role will actively support the procurement of parcel services and key parcel initiatives for Mattel’s Global Logistics accordance with Mattel’s Global Procurement Policy.  This includes developing Parcel Procurement KPI dashboard, real time tracking of parcel contracts and spend, supporting the Global Logistics Procurement team with complex RFP’s, managing contract database and supplier management.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Support management of Parcel Spend and carrier allocations thru Mattel’s network.
  • Validate Mattel’s Parcel rating engine is selecting rates according to Category strategy and contracts after system changes.
  • Assist with onboarding of new parcel carriers to the Mattel Network.
  • Collaborate in managing the parcel spend data mapping in the Coupa platform and provide monthly feedback on mapping accuracy.
  • Tracking and reporting of carrier spend by Mattel company, site, carrier contract and package size.
  • Leverage spend analytics to identify cost savings opportunities across Parcel categories.
  • Support Parcel Category Manager with QBRs and supplier scorecards, complex RFPs data analysis, including baseline development, RFP bid analysis and total cost analysis.
  • Coordinate closely with Parcel Category Manager on category strategies, savings targets and scorecards.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) maintenance and management of Parcel category contracts in the Coupa platform.
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers while effectively resolving performance/capability issues.
  • Collect and analyze small parcel shipping data from various carriers.
  • Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track shipping performance, costs, trends, and issues.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize shipping strategies, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Analyze data related to shipping volume, delivery timeframes, and packaging to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, with business or supply chain management preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of procurement/supply chain experience or related field or combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proven mathematical and data analysis skills.
  • Experience of working with Business Information Systems - Knowledge/experience with Oracle and Coupa systems a plus.
  • Ability to apply a wide range of sourcing and supplier performance management related skills and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and Procure to Pay processes.
  • Understanding of a multi-step RFx sourcing process.
  • Knowledge of key contracting principles, standard terms, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the workforce, including senior leadership and executive management.
  • Exceptional problem solving, strategic planning, critical thinking, analytical, ability to deal with ambiguity, and risk management skills.
  • Highly motivated and capable of managing global projects across multiple cross-functional groups in a decentralized organization.
  • Team player with strong initiative, intrinsically motivated, works autonomously.
  • Proven ability to produce error-free work under deadline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with positive, customer-focus approach in combination with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain priorities to complete assignments by deadlines independently.
  • Certification in supply chain, contract management, procurement or project management a plus.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.


The annual base salary range for this position is between $70,400 and $[maximum annual 88,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
