The Procurement Analyst drives the end-to-end Procurement process, with special emphasis on conducting in-depth research and analysis of procurement-related data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
In this role, you'll support functional areas such as Facilities, Construction, Center Operations, Education, Marketing, IT and HR.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze spend to identify opportunities and verify delivery of financial results, presenting analysis simply, while including key actionable insights.
- Research products and services, suppliers, pricing trends, cost drivers, and benchmarks.
- Ensure alignment with functional and procurement partners on goals, deliverables, prioritization, and timelines throughout the process.
- Develop RFP Events on the ERP platform ensuring bidder engagement, complete and clear product and service requirements, appropriate capabilities questions for vendors, proper contract documents and bid templates that capture all the applicable cost elements.
- Perform analysis in Excel, including very complex datasets.
- Draft negotiation plans including key prioritized points and targets for both financial and non-financial elements.
- Document contracts ensuring clear and complete requirements and performance standards, mitigate risks and protect standard operational processes.
- Balance multiple work efforts concurrently while supporting the Procurement Business Partners on other projects, ensuring timelines are met, and minimizing non-value-added effort.
- Outline implementation plans that ensure successful delivery of new Vendor products/services and the financial results are tracked to P/L then following through until complete.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints.
- Use software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data analysis.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to procurement policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance or Business.
- Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience required, including market research, RFPs, analysis, negotiation, and documenting contracts, preferably in a multi-unit corporate environment.
- Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills to include formulas, lookups, formatting, and interpreting complex datasets. Intermediate MS Word (formatting, track changes, versioning), Outlook, and PowerPoint skills including visual elements to convey information more simply. Workday experience a plus. Quick learner on additional systems.
- Skilled in running RFP's, as well as negotiating and documenting clear, complete and accurate contracts.
- Intellectual curiosity that drives multi-faceted research, asking questions and challenging assumptions.
- A self-starter who simultaneously handles priorities, is undaunted by obstacles, anticipates the needs of the business and seeks to deliver before being asked.
- Knowledge of contracts and key clauses, business terms vs risk and legal.
- Attention to detail, impeccable organization, and follow through to closure.
