We have a fantastic opportunity for Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team.

You will help manage Matillion’s online presence and engage with our strong and growing community on various social media platforms. You will drive thought-leadership content with best-in-practice social media strategies to engage with our global, technical audience and community through various platforms and channels.

We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role follows our hybrid work structure where Matillioners work 2 days a week in our Manchester office. Our core day is Wednesday, and the second day will be determined together. The rest of the week you are welcome to work from the office, or remotely if you’d prefer.

What you will be doing

  • Enhance our strong and growing community through existing and new social media channels using creative technical content and engagement. 
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all social media content aligns with the company’s values and image.
  • Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for brand growth on social media platforms.
  • Assist with the design of creative engaging content (text, images, videos) tailored to the target audience and platform.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising, to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics, such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in managing social media accounts for a brand, company, or organisation.
  • Experience with content creation, copywriting, and analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of current social media trends, user behaviour, and platform-specific guidelines.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their algorithms.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprinklr) and basic SEO principles.
  • Understanding of the impact of social media on brand reputation and customer engagement.
  • Awareness of legal issues related to social media, such as copyright, privacy, and advertising regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey the brand's message clearly and engagingly.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Pays close attention to the quality and accuracy of content, ensuring that all posts align with the brand’s voice and guidelines.
  • Takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and acts on them quickly.
  • Interest in tech (ideal if in the data space)

Compensation
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £34,280 - £51,420. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
