About the Role
The Revenue Management and Investment Prioritization team has these areas of focus:
1. Investment Prioritization and Enablement: Manage the strategic identification and approval of long-term investments in Services products
2. Revenue Assurance: Identify potential revenue leakage opportunities (i.e., places where expectations are misaligned with realized revenue) and perform deep "detective work" to identify and resolve the root causes of revenue leakage
3. Revenue Optimization: Identification and project management of short-term revenue opportunities in collaboration with Services Business Development teams
The Vice President role will oversee and support the team responsible for driving activities within those areas. Specifically, this role will:
1. Partner with Finance and Product teams to translate long-term product and pricing strategy into investment priorities
2. Develop tools and best practices for developing investment proposals
3. Build and own identification, assessment, and prioritization process through annual investment planning process and identification of "shovel-ready" requests each quarter
4. Ensure tracking and reporting of longitudinal impact of past investments, ensuring accountability for investment returns
5. Execute special projects to accelerate short-term revenue, in collaboration with Sales and Product teams
6. Systematically develop and drive strategies for optimizing revenue, such as penetrating new regions, adjusting economic models, or leveraging various funding sources
7. Build and maintain a pipeline of identified revenue assurance and optimization opportunities, then prioritize based on upside potential and organizational priorities
8. Create clear and concise PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders (at the Management Committee level) to support the work of each area of focus and articulate the financial impact of the team
All About You
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following capabilities:
Intellectual Curiosity: A desire to quickly learn about the various Services lines of business, economic drivers, technical systems, and billing processes
Commercial Acumen: The ability to quickly and efficiently identify the economics of a diverse set of products and drive strategies with tangible financial outcomes
Stakeholder Management: Partner with teams across Finance, Sales, and Product (amongst others) to create a vision for the team, manage priorities, and resolve issues
Quantitative Analysis: Develop accurate financial models and identify insights from those models which can drive effective decisions
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and effectively build trust-based relationships with partners across Mastercard
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ten or more years of relevant experience
