Vice President - Product Management

Overview

The Mastercard Cybersecurity team is seeking a Vice President - Product Management, a senior leader and expert in cybersecurity risk management, to drive the development and success of our risk solutions. In this role, you will act as the product owner, leading the strategy, development, and commercialization of innovative cyber risk management products. You will manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and continuous improvement, ensuring each solution aligns with both client needs and Mastercard's business objectives.

As the product owner, you will be responsible for P&L management, ensuring product profitability and growth. You'll work closely with cross-functional and regional teams, to position our cybersecurity offerings effectively and drive market adoption. By leveraging your deep knowledge of cybersecurity challenges, you will guide product evolution, balancing market demand with technical innovation.

In addition to product leadership, you will play a critical role in client engagement, managing relationships with mid- to senior-level clients. Your ability to understand their strategic needs and address them with tailored cybersecurity products will be essential to building long-lasting partnerships and delivering client value.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and strategic thinking to drive the development of cutting-edge cybersecurity products.
• Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies in collaboration with regional teams, ensuring seamless product positioning, market entry, and customer adoption.
• Collaborate with product platform, technology, and data science teams to create and maintain a robust development roadmap that aligns with market needs and supports long-term product strategy.
• Work closely with regional teams to build and manage a dynamic product pipeline, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands.
• Oversee the transition of products from development to operational phases, ensuring that KPIs are met, product documentation is complete, and necessary training and resources are provided to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accountability for the full product lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation, from concept through to market success.

All About You:
• Extensive experience in product conceptualization, design, development, and successful commercialization, with a focus on delivering innovative and scalable solutions.
• Deep expertise in risk management, data analytics, and payment services, with a proven ability to leverage data for actionable insights.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring, managing, and leveraging personally identifiable information (PII) data, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity standards, including PCI DSS, ISO27001, and NIST, and their application to product development and risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of payments and payment processing ecosystems, with the ability to integrate cybersecurity products into these frameworks.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and drive results across diverse teams and business units.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with senior-level executives, clients, and stakeholders.
• A successful track record of building strategic relationships with both internal teams and external customers, driving product adoption and long-term value creation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, managing multiple product lines and projects simultaneously, while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Proven experience in developing, enhancing, launching, and continuously evaluating high-impact product portfolios in the cybersecurity, risk management, or financial services sectors.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams across multiple projects and geographies.

Education & Certifications:
• BS / MS in business management, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
