The new Decision as a Service team in DMP is developing a lightweight solution that encapsulates the powerful features of the DMP to provide Business Logic Implementation as a service for internal and market facing applications & services that enables us to.

The Decision Management team is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to develop our solution by consistently innovating and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate is passionate about software development, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an ability to drive and introduce improvements to our solution and its roadmap.

ROLE
• Work with a team of talented developers to develop high performance, lightweight, modular Java based solution
• Deliver solutions by providing direct development of software solutions
• Assist with support issues by troubleshooting incidents and problem tickets
• Quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform
• Exemplify technical expertise to ensure effective delivery of software capabilities
• Contribute to the planning and development of software solutions
• Perform code reviews of co-workers' deliverables to ensure best practices

ALL ABOUT YOU
• Considerate, polite, fun-loving, collaborative
• Good organizational and communication skills: both verbal and written.
• Experience with Linux and Java development (JDK 1.7 or greater), IBM ODM, Rules Authoring, design patterns, threading, unit testing, debugging.
• Understanding of agile software development processes, ideally a knowledge of SAFe
• Experience with one or more of the following: JBoss, Tomcat, shell scripting, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ and ability to compile, deploy, and execute code artifacts
• Nice to have that will set you apart - proven experience in developing cloud ready microservices

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
