The Foundational Services group within the Mastercard Business & Market Insights organization builds common, high-performance, and easy-to-use solutions for cross-cutting concerns of the data analytics products on our platform. We work closely with market-facing product engineering teams to help them take maximum advantage of these capabilities and to evolve our Foundational Services to meet their needs and the needs of our customers. We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Foundational Services team. You will own the end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects that have broad impact across the Business & Market Insights organization.

Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager on the Foundational Services team, you will:
• Be a leader in driving the Foundational Services group's mission to build a data platform that enables Business & Market Insights teams to rapidly build, deploy, and run high-quality, data-driven products
• Regularly review data metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives
• Work across multiple agile data engineering teams
• Leverage technical strengths and business context, drive constructive discussions, and clarify across teams to define data solutions for business needs and to determine resolutions to data-related issues
• Continuously assess data development processes, data pipelines, and operations. You work with teams to improve concurrent project delivery.
• Streamline and/or eliminate excess process in any area of the data architecture, data production operations environment, or business area where the same efforts (or issues) are repeated year-over-year
• Help customers and engineering teams make trade-off decisions by considering all the data including business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience, and maintainability. You identify blocking issues and manage their resolution.
• Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues/risks at multiple levels

• You have a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making.
• You are results-driven with proven ability to effectively define and communicate project status, risks, and solutions in a proactive manner. You can also manage support issues to drive to root cause and resolution.
• You are high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptive, and can work in a dynamic environment.
• You have an ability to simultaneously manage short-term priorities and long-term initiatives, with experience working with agile software development processes.
• You build solid and trust-based relationships within the team and various stakeholders, becoming a valued thought partner. You can exercise influence outside your own teams to achieve results for the entire organization.
• You have a working understanding of data technologies such as SQL, Apache Spark, Cloudera, or Databricks, and can evaluate system designs and architecture as you participate in solution discussions.
• You have demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods, and understand the design approaches, technologies, and business drivers in your area.
• You have expert-level knowledge of software development processes and Agile practices.
• You have experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
• You have experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
• You have excellent time management and organizational skills.
• You have strong communication skills-both verbal and written-and can communicate critical points efficiently across a wide range of audiences.
