About the Team
The team offers robust event management, correlation, automation, and runbook solutions to help MasterCard deliver continuous uptime of business services and applications and optimize operations costs and efficiency.
Provides on the ground day-to-day support strategies to ensure high availability of Mastercard services.
Enables implementation of quality engineering best practices to deliver services and solutions that meet stakeholders needs (e.g., consumers, merchants, issuers, governments)
Leads teams providing highly reliable services and support, resolving first level escalation issues as they arise.
Planning and execution of RE methodologies in coordination with Lead Engineers to build high quality services and better products.
• This individual will work closely with technology support teams and application teams to monitor and improve the application and infrastructure availability.

About the Role
• Represent the team in meetings, provide advice, updates, training and technical support.
• Work with our internal stakeholders to understand automation, requirements and implement solution using available tool sets and scripting languages.
• Administer, support and maintain enterprise Monitoring tools in a multi-tier environment.
• Build Automation solutions using available tool sets and scripting languages.
• Maintain technical support documents for all built solutions and processes.
• Troubleshoots Network/F5, and Web applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems utilizing associated command line and management tools.
• On-call administration and tools support.
• As new technologies emerge and influence our environment, learn these technologies swiftly and apply them for problem solving and providing innovative solutions.
• Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
• Self-Driven and flexible, with the willingness to expand your learning into adjacent areas and the initiative to continually learn more.
• Exhibit thoroughness, adhering to critical processes even under stress.
• Support business disaster recovery procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Accurately document duties and procedures to aid the department in cross-training and absentee coverage.
• Work with technical engineering teams to manage and improve processes.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
• Ability to identify tasks that should be automated and then develop and implement automation.

All About You
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering with a focus on Networks and Security.
- Monitor the global network to ensure stability and reliability, promptly identifying and addressing any potential issues or disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate to resolve network issues swiftly and effectivity to minimize downtime and maintain reliability of platforms.
- Contribute towards capacity planning, stability and reliability of network and security.
- Familiarity of technologies such as CDN,VPN,BGP etc..
- Understanding on IP, DNS, DDoS, WAF, Firewalls etc..
- Collaborate closely with various network teams with in Mastercard to proactively identify and provide solutions for problems.
- Utilize automation and configuration management tools to improve system stability and minimize errors.
- Deliver detail reports on platform stability and reliability providing insights and suggestions for improvements.
- Exposure to using Enterprise monitoring tools for the supervision of Network technologies and familiarity implementing Synthetic and Real user monitoring tools.
- Experience working with Mission critical platforms and systems with 24/7 availability.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of quickly diagnosing and resolving network issues.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and working in a team-oriented environment.
