Senior Analyst - Responsible Sourcing & Supplier Engagement

Overview

The Responsible Sourcing team is focused on building a sustainable supply chain for the future by partnering with suppliers to set decarbonization goals and manage the progress and impact to Mastercard's own scope 3 emissions.

This role will focus on the data elements and sources to deliver a deeper understanding of supplier emissions against the products and services Mastercard procures. Tracking progress, identify risks and documenting findings for management updates, and working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders and teams to identify and build solutions to improve data visibility and accuracy.

Being part of the Responsible Sourcing team, you will also support broader program initiatives, including program governance - tracking supplier progress and mitigating risk, engaging suppliers through training and educations and the negotiation of contractual terms.

Responsibilities

Build and analyze data from internal systems, breaking down spend and purchases into subcategories

Work with suppliers to validate and obtain further clarity on purchases and associated GHG emissions

Collaborate with wider business teams to enhance data collection and quality

Govern suppliers through an established governance framework

Support the preparation of business and supplier updates, including score cards and program status updates

Continuous improvement, identify gaps and areas of opportunity, build and track pipeline, own the outcome through exploration and change management

About you

A sourcing background would be advantageous but your ability to analyse large amounts of data, build models to identify, track and display relevant data points will be most critical.

Exceptional data analytics, using excel, power BI and other data models

Proficient in Microsoft office applications

Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions

Problem solving mentality, resourcefulness, and creativity in identifying solutions

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build professional relationships, influence and negotiate.

Flexible in approach - ability to pivot and manage change in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of the GHG Protocol and Scope 3 standards

Knowledge of procurement process and Purchase to Pay practices

Knowledge and experience of using Coupa

Understanding of procurement and sourcing practices
