The Product team is part of Mastercard's Open Banking division, and brings to life our vision of empowering consumers to benefit from their own financial data. We are passionate about creating solutions that unlock FinTech innovation and streamline everyday consumer experiences. Many leading organizations are already using the Mastercard Open Banking platform to deliver some of the industry's most compelling services. About You
We are looking for a highly energetic product professional who is willing to jump into an ever-evolving team and hit the ground running. While our primary roles are well defined (i.e. building new products and enhancing our existing solutions), we are all jumping in to help deliver on exciting strategic business objectives for Mastercard, which means partnering with sales and growth teams to take our products to market at scale and engaging with Operations to ensure the best possible customer experience, to name a few. You are collaborative, accountable, and passionate about being part of a highly valued team.
About the Role
When consumers are empowered to use their data, it creates a platform for innovation. This is the promise of open banking. The Product Manager has overall responsibility for the product strategy, roadmap and optimization. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. You will bring engineering, user experience design, and best of breed technologies together and play a critical role in leading our product through needs analysis, iterative implementation of solutions, and measuring impact of those solutions as we deliver on our ambitious vision!
In the product manager role, you will:
• Define the strategy and roadmap for a particular set of products
• Communicate the product vision within the company, including executive leadership
• Define products and enhancements to products and prioritize features
• Set priorities for product development
• Find and implement data-driven product optimizations
• Create user stories and provide clarity on business requirements
• Conduct in-depth competitive analysis and become an expert on competing products and fintech organizations
• Meet with clients to understand their product needs
• Understand the market well enough to create a pricing strategy that meets revenue and profitability goals
• Work with product marketing to create product messaging and collateral
• Brief and train the sales force on products at sales meetings and perform product demos for customers
• Evaluate competitors and the market for capability-oriented and emerging development and technology trends
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience as a product manager with demonstrated success defining and launching cloud-based software products, preferably in the fintech space
• Experience with Nacha/TCH/FedNow payment networks
• Familiarity with open banking industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present to large and small groups
• Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, including engineering teams working within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Strong technical background with a working knowledge of at least one server-side programming language; familiarity or experience with HTML/CSS and Javascript is preferred
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Salt Lake City, Utah: $137,000 - $218,000 USD
