This critical role sits at an intersection of customer, product, and engineering, and provides extraordinary opportunity for learning, organization visibility and career growth. Every day, you will be solving real world challenges and utilizing your product and engineering skills to design the best-in-class payment experience with and for our partners (PSPs, Gateways, Acquirers, ISV, Merchants).
This role is responsible for leading the development and product lifecycle for Mastercard Tap on Phone solution, Cloud Commerce.

Manager, Product Development

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide product and technical leadership that influence Cloud Commerce platform design and architecture resulting in best-in-class payment solution
• Partners with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Management - Technical, Software Development) to design, develop and deliver new Products that drive value for Mastercard Partners
• Understands business context and market dynamics including Regulatory, Legal, Competitive and Technology landscapes
• Incorporates feedback from cross-functional stakeholders in Legal, Data Privacy, Delivery, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc. to ensure that the Product is delivered with highest quality and has a robust go-to-market plan focused on speed to market and ease integration
• Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices
• Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through their behavior, (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)

All About You

• Intermediate or advanced professional experience in product development and management
• Excellent understanding of payment industry technologies and merchant needs
• Technical background and experience working closely with Engineering teams implementing payment solutions
• Strong analytical and consultative skills to analyze the customer domain and recommend compelling acceptance solutions
• Good understanding of card payment related specifications (EMVCo, PCI etc.)
• High attention to detail, adaptable, executes with a sense of urgency and strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong communication, presentation and personal skills; can explain technical topics in simple terms; able to think quickly and react to client-impacting situations
• Self-motivated, proactive and curious, able to complete tasks with limited direction and with a sense of continuous growth and improvement
• Prior knowledge and/or experience with payment solutions such as Contactless, Click to Pay, QR-code payments is desirable
• Willingness to travel as needed
