Overview

In partnership with regional Merchant and Acceptance teams and cross-functional partners around the globe, Global Acceptance Solutions works to expand merchant acceptance and help merchants and acquirers grow their businesses through Acceptance solutions and programs. At its essence, building acceptance is about driving the secular shift from cash to electronic payments, with the promise of giving consumers the best payment experience - one that's fast, convenient and secure.

The Manager joining the team will be spearheading projects across acceptance product lines, to ensure that our solutions architecture and standards reflect and anticipate the changes in the ecosystems and value chain. As part of this role, the Manager will assess holistic implications of requirements on the whole acquiring value chain, including the intersection of technical requirements, standards/policies, and economics, keeping future proofing top of mind. The Manager will also be working hand in hand with the regional teams to capture trends and needs.

Responsibilities
• Become the SME for acceptance frameworks and standards, supporting Global Acceptance Product colleagues in their product build journey, assessing necessary tech and rules changes, providing guidance throughout execution.
• Evaluate the implications of new Mastercard requirements on the Acquiring Value Chain, in partnership with Franchise and the regional Acceptance teams, including the intersection of standards/policies, registration and compliance programs, and economics, with the goal to accelerate the deployment of solutions, and increase partner engagement.
• In partnership with product development, fraud and analytics teams, increase consistency and strength of our reporting and analytics practices, reflecting new synergies between product lines, and shifts in narratives.
• Partner with regional Acceptance teams to monitor trends, competition standards changes and new entrants in adjacent ecosystems: identifying commonalities across regions, sharing best practices, understanding ecosystems implications (on data, rules and standards) as well as strategies to foster innovation and partnership.

• Acquiring payments experience desired, with affinity for technical/ industry/ security standards
• Passion for digital payment and identity innovations, trends and ability to relate to Mastercard's digital strategy and digital solutions
• Fast learner, quick to act, relying on analytical skills and critical thinking to resolve complex, cross-functional challenges
• Team player/ partner/ networker, enjoying connecting and communicating across audience levels and backgrounds, and developing compelling narratives, elevating complex challenges into simple stories
• Excellent project management skills - proven ability to launch and manage large, cross-functional initiatives and influence key stakeholders

Total Base Pay Range
137,000.00 - 218,000.00 USD Annual

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
