We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Global Trade Manager working as part of our Legal Global Trade (GT) Transfers and Authorizations Requirements Management (TARM) team.
What You Will Do:
The position reports to the Global Trade Associate Director in TARM and requires a working knowledge of US Government trade compliance and licensing regulations, as well as an understanding of trade and license requirements in other countries where P&W operates.
Our team manages and oversees Pratt & Whitney level policies and procedures for Authorizations and Transfers.
This role requires a candidate with solid business and technical experience and proven leadership skills.
The position will focus on developing and improving GT procedures and requirements in areas including authorization management and transfers, among others.
The position will require collaboration with various business areas, and other LCC pillars to team to develop and assist with implementation of robust compliance measures.
The successful candidate will be adaptable to regularly changing priorities, be able to manage projects with minimal supervision and have a record of working successfully with a team.
The individual must be a self-starter who is able to identify business needs and respond accordingly.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the internal GT Authorizations community, developing and publishing guidance/requirements documentation, project management and support in the enhancement or development of IT solutions to improve system level controls that implicate trade compliance regulations, as well as regularly supporting and interacting cross-functional teams at P&W on global trade matters with respect to transfers and authorizations.
- Work closely with various P&W business areas to provide guidance and solutions for global trade activities.
- Manage and support project initiatives, maintenance, and enhancement of automated solutions and GT tools such as SAP/GTS/AMP.
- Participate in RTX and P&W Committees and related activities.
- Develop, update, and optimize guidance and requirements, as well as other instructional materials within the Transfers and Authorizations management pillar.
- Develop and deploy training for users of GT tools and with respect to US and non-US Authorizations management.
- Support government reporting requirements as necessary.
- Support other activities of the TARM team as needed.
- Travel Required: Some infrequent travel may be required 10%
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in International Trade Compliance, including experience in roles that ensure compliance with the ITAR, EAR, and US and non-US trade regulations; OR an Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in global trade and/or quality, including experience in roles that ensure compliance with the ITAR, EAR, and U.S. sanctions regulations.
- Working knowledge of US Government trade compliance and licensing regulations, as well as an understanding of trade and license regulatory requirements in other countries where P&W operates.
- US Citizenship or US persons (Green card) required, due to government contracts, programs and projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Working knowledge of non-US trade compliance regulations, including those specifically related to license controls.
- Experience working with Power Apps.
- Strong project management skills: timeline management, defining deliverables and coordinating with various stakeholders, prioritization, and organizational skills to meet deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Knowledge of the P&W Policy and requirement systems and SAP/GTS ERP systems.
- Ability to analyze complex information and understand how different policies and regulations interact with each other.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of a Global Trade Compliance program for a globally operating company.
- Effective communication/presentation critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
