Manager, Franchise Business Partner

Overview

We are looking for a Franchise Division Lead for the Franchise function in Mastercard Northeast Asia. Critical to Mastercard, Franchise enables the Mastercard network to scale and monetize our capabilities. Franchise enables healthy business growth of our Northeast Asia division by preventing, detecting and remediating undue risk. With growing digitization, multi-rail opportunities and new customer segments, this role will offer exciting opportunities to build new ecosystems with franchise as an enabler. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about risk management & business growth, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

In this position, you will:

• Be the central point of contact for Franchise matters in the Division.
• Work hand in hand with the Divisional Leadership, engage and contribute to strategy development.
• Engage customers across the Northeast Asia Divison to manage risk, optimize authentication, approval rates, fraud and charge back performance and to enhance the strength of our brand, acceptance network and data. Provide direct stakeholder fraud and compliance management support
• Focus on Building new ecosystems with franchise as an enabler. Provide Franchise inputs, lead and drive execution with internal stakeholders, external customers and regulators for new payment flow opportunities in the Division.
• Engage with Customers to build and deliver Franchise related services as well as generate sales leads for Franchise Management Programs, Franchise Solutions, risk management services and training
• Ensure Customer Onboarding is executed with CRM (Customer Risk Management) principles, within SLA (Service Level Agreement) timelines for a seamless and delightful customer experience
• Play a principal role in ensuring that issuers and acquirers in Northeast Asia are optimized in their processes, procedures, and tools to meet Mastercard's Rules and Standards.
• Architects and maintains the Mastercard rules and Standards in a way that enables the growth of Mastercard products and services in support of Mastercard's strategy, while preserving the integrity of our brands and network

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

• Demonstrate successful track record in payments, translating strategies into large scale programs and adapting them across business.
• Be well-versed with the regulatory landscape.
• Experience in both Risk Management and Business Development in payments industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Possess a strategic and business mindset. Have a clear mission that focuses on outward-in perspective in problem solving.
• Be self-motivated and results-oriented, always looking for potential solutions to solve problems.
• Demonstrate proactivity and ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Possess strong analytical skills, be detail oriented and can operate effectively in a complex global environment.
• Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work cross functionally and across levels in a highly matrix organization.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication/technical skills, be able to communicate in a succinct manner.
• Business fluency in Japanese and English
