Manager, Content and Social Media

Overview:
The Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth is seeking a hands-on content strategist, with writing, production and editing skills to support Mastercard's social innovation and philanthropic hub. This person will develop the Center's digital channels, supporting the Center's thought leadership, program objectives, grantees, and wider network. They should have a deep aptitude for content creation, interactive storytelling, and social campaigns, and understand asset production. They will be the driving force behind a content plan for the Center's channels.

This role requires a team player with excellent project management and creative facilitation skills. In this role, the manager will help to shape story ideas while also being able to get hands-on in developing and executing projects. They will also collaborate with SET leadership on video and creative asset development and publication tied to the Center's thought leadership events, such as the Global Inclusive Growth Summit. The idea candidate will have a production background and relevant technical skills.

Role:
Manage and create the content strategy and editorial calendar, including social media, driving creative campaigns and assets to tell the Center's story. With a forward-thinking mindset, this person brings creativity to build global moments on behalf of our key issue areas.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated record of compelling photo and video content and an in-depth understanding of social media marketing and platform innovation. With project management skills, they will meet the requirements of video and asset production on a timely basis, developing and sharing video content actively for publication in the Center's social channels.
This role collaborates often with our digital strategy lead and digital director to help push our newly launched Center website to be a best-in-brand experience for the social impact space. The candidate will need a high awareness of digital innovation and breaking news in the digital ecosystem from innovation (AI, VR, AR).
In this role developing and executing measurable communications programs, they will collaborate closely with our Communications and Marketing teams to ensure narrative and brand alignment.

All About You:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) and/or 6+ years experience in Communications, Marketing, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) and/or 3+ years experience in Communications, Marketing, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR equivalent experience in creative fields, writing, journalism, social media management, executive thought leadership
Effective decision making in a complex and nuanced environment, driving to the regular development and production of assets, including via external agencies.
An audience-first global and highly collaborative mindset, and excitement to work across our grantee network on shared initiatives and announcements. An understanding at the start of a project how the end products will be received by audiences, including primarily via events and digital promotion.
Experience turning ideas into effective storytelling. Ability to create and reinforce narratives that drive content deployment, and modify those narratives based on reaction, response, and testing, in particular based on social media metrics.
Excellent stakeholder management internally and externally. Strong presence with executives, ensuring consistency of voice across our messages and channels.
Effective budget management of limited resources.
Clear, concise writing with the ability to take complex topics and simplify into digestible thoughts.
Proficiency on all social platforms, with a special focus on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Strong understanding of visual storytelling formats, including videos and graphics.
Ability to shoot and edit videos / audio or create graphics a strong plus.
Expertise in Adobe products and Office 360.
Understanding of paid media and help manage social media campaigns including real-time management, making necessary adjustments and KPI reporting.
Candidate will also have knowledge of analytics platforms and other tracking software like Bitly and deliver monthly, relevant KPIs to the Impact Dashboard.
General awareness of email marketing platforms like Pardot with the ability to leverage templates, build emails, send and monitor performance.
