What is the role?

The Mastercard Creative Studio is looking for a talented designer to join our amazing in-house creative team. You will work in partnership with internal team members, including brand strategists, innovators, designers, and writers. The role will require you to:

• Be creative, intuitive, and motivated - taking projects from concept through to production
• Communicate effectively with fellow designers, wider Creative Studio team and teams across Mastercard
• Partner with the marketing team to turn complex ideas into designed stories that can be used to market and sell our various products
• Use and interpret brand identity guidelines, design standards and interactive best practices
• Adapt and interpret brand guidelines in a way that keeps our sales materials fresh, modern, and engaging
• Design impactful graphics and interactive presentations for various outlets such as PowerPoint, web, mobile/tablet and social media
• Work with researchers, analysts, and other subject matter experts to visualise engaging and differentiating thought leadership content, including blogs, articles, webinars and white papers
• Consult on other media like websites, digital display or social marketing, trade show and event signage, report designs/templates and more

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years working as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and working with established brands
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with project management software is a plus

Necessary skills:

• Possess solid knowledge in graphic design with the ability to apply brand style guides creatively
• Apply strong conceptual skills, high level sense of typography, colour theory, and visual composition
• Interpret Mastercard brand guidelines successfully across a range of media and formats, including multi-page presentations and marketing assets
• Ensure designs best reflect our brand and are innovative and sophisticated
• Display creative curiosity by seeking out new design techniques and maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge

Business skills:

• Collaborate with and serve as a strategic partner to internal team and stakeholders across the company
• Experienced in presentations, comfortable communicating visual concepts and ideas to key stakeholders at Mastercard
• Understand the business goals, marketing strategies and value propositions of our stakeholders and clients
• Work effectively with others to identify challenges and opportunities and use creative and strategic thinking to generate solutions
• Manage creative requirements, expectations, and deadlines for all projects
