Overview

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is looking for a Director, ERM Integration Lead (2nd Line of Defense) who will be an active participant in the integration of recent acquisitions. The role will engage with senior leaders in the business and second line functions (both at recent acquisitions and at Mastercard) to ensure risk management practices and approaches are aligned (e.g., identify, measure, mitigate, monitor, etc.). This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Risk, Frameworks and Appetite.

Role:

The Director, Integration Lead will be responsible for:

Alignment of Risk Management Practices (e.g., enterprise, technology, cybersecurity, etc.)
• Define approach for performing gap assessment of risk management practices between recent acquisitions and Mastercard
• Implement the Enterprise Risk and Technology Risk integration workplans, which include:
oEngaging with key stakeholders from the Mastercard and acquired entities teams
oConducting a gap analysis on existing processes and policies
oCreating, communicating, and executing a plan to address identified areas of improvement
• Collaborate with the recent acquisitions and Mastercard integration teams to manage and execute mitigants defined during due diligence or others identified during integration
• Ensure that strategic decisions are made within MA's risk appetite, considering risk / reward trade-offs through adoption of internal and industry standard risk assessment approaches

Program Management and Integration Coordination
• Develop and execute a granular integration plan for ERM that incorporates results from gap assessment
• Engage with key stakeholders within ERM and the broader MA Risk organization (e.g., Operational Risk & Control, Compliance & Ethics, etc.)
• Develop and facilitate status updates to MA Risk leadership for reporting to Executive Leadership on the progress of the mitigation of Top Risks
• Representation of ERM in cross-functional integration forums, as needed
• Partner with M&A and Business integration leads to address any additional identified risks

All About You

• Risk management experience in a large multinational with a mature risk function
• Knowledge of risk management practices (e.g., ERM, Technology / Cybersecurity Risk, ORC, etc.) and previous M&A and Integration experience desirable
• Experience of Cyber Risk Management approaches and methodologies, with working knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK or equivalent industry standards
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels including outside his / her / their reporting lines
• Strong experience in project management and deliverable development for Executive-level presentations and partnering with executive management and senior leadership to drive outcomes
• Articulate and highly effective communicator (written, oral, presentation)
• Demonstrated success in applying risk management to support the business / strategy
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills; Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, in sometimes ambiguous circumstances
• Understands and appreciates diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of the payments industry and products, competitive environment, consumer trends, and economic environment
