The Cyber Security Services team develops new capabilities for Mastercard's cyber intelligence and security applications, which offers globally scalable products to detect and report on weaknesses in payments systems and transactions, to prevent fraud for Issuers, Acquirers and Merchants. We're looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking technical leader to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering cutting-edge applications and enhancements

Role:

• Lead the development of innovative applications and solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements while adhering to industry best practices, standards, and processes.
• Take ownership of new and enhanced technical solutions, managing engineering teams to deliver quality results on both build and run initiatives.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications, ensuring they provide an excellent user experience at all times.
• Mentor and support technical team members, helping them grow their skills and advance in their careers, while also contributing to the recruitment process to bring in fresh talent.
• Lead and coach a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Provide strategic leadership for specific applications, systems, and software development methodologies, guiding the team to success.

All About You

Essential
• Extensive hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle, with a solid technical background in software engineering.
• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodologies like Test-Driven Development (TDD) to build high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical diagrams, user journeys, and data flows, with a strong understanding of how technical solutions map to business requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills, working closely with technical architects to shape solutions and bridge the gap between technical designs and business goals.
• Proven leadership experience, including leading design efforts, mentoring developers, and providing clear technical guidance.
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-to effectively convey technical concepts and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:
• Development expertise in:
o Java
o Webservices
o Microservices (especially in transitioning from monolith to microservices architectures)
o Cloud-based architectures (PCF, AWS, Azure)
o Data cloud technologies and data lakes
