The Global Acceptance Product Management Director is a high-exposure role, working alongside senior leadership and executive teams to shape Mastercard's global acceptance strategy, lead projects that drive Global Acceptance priorities and advance our pursuit of inorganic opportunities to grow. The role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, product management, and analytics. The Acceptance Product Management Director requires an agile and flexible approach as you will work alongside a wide range of cross-functional partners to define and pursue Global Acceptance priorities.

Responsibilities:

Create and define a regional go-to-market strategy for commercializing our Acceptance, Merchants and Solution products, identifying new revenue opportunities, broadening our footprint, and making sure we have clear product differentiation edge over the competition and driving Merchant preference in cooperation with regional acceptance and merchants teams under Market Development.

Integrate Global Acceptance objectives and targets into regional plans working closely with regional management and Market Development (e.g. acceptance growth, merchant product revenue, authorization rates, and acceptance at the base of the pyramid targets)

Meet the above targets by developing and supporting the right products, value propositions and act as support of such products and strategies in such areas as regional expertise, pricing and rules, sharing of best practices from other regions, deliver sales support, solutions and tracking progress.

Raise the profile and awareness of the Acceptance and Merchants solutions within the Region with periodic communications, product demos, events, management briefings, etc.

Ensure that the Global Acceptance and Solutions team are aware of and incorporate local and region issues and opportunities into the overall framework of Global Acceptance Strategies.

Serve as the single point of contact to regional personnel for issues that belong to the Global Acceptance function within Core Products and own the resolution of issues by working with global team members and/or counterparts in other regions.

Lead Acceptance at the Base of the Pyramid in the region. Engage with other regional team members who have financial inclusion responsibilities to drive Acceptance, develop products, design partnerships.

Develop and manage Payment facilitator models, how do they contribute to the target, what is the right financial model, rules and underwriting basics.

Represent the views, insights and interests of the region in the development and execution of the Global Acceptance strategy. Act as the conduit for customer feedback from the region to make sure that our products and solutions are tailored for local markets and that regional interests are represented.

Support relationships with local key acceptance value chain players in support of, and in coordination with, the Market Development team, as with other critical functions such as relationship managers, Customer Delivery, Marketing and Communications. Design and deliver training modules and other product support material as necessary

Act as a regional contact for highlights for Global Acceptance & Solutions management reports (quarterly dashboards, product and implementation roadmaps, etc)

Knowledge/Experience:

Proven expertise in payments industry, specifically Acceptance with deep understanding of Merchants, Acquirers and other players in the acceptance ecosystem

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver products and solutions for customer needs

Ability to influence people at multiple levels and navigate a global, decentralized organization

Ability to successfully execute in a dynamic environment across multiple functional disciplines

Fully embraces digital world and understands its importance for future growth

Self-starter with Initiative, passion and agility

Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
