Director, Gateway Commercialisation & Sales Enablement

Mastercard Enterprise Gateway Solutions (EGS) provides seamless connectivity into our Payment Processing and Services for customers of all types. Assets formerly known as the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS), Direct Services Access (DSA), Networks Exchange (NEX), Account-to-Account Gateway and Private Label Card Programs are now consolidated under a single Gateway portfolio.

The Gateway Commercialisation & Sales Enablement will be the primary muscle driving strategy and execution for this newly formed organization in Europe and will be responsible for driving new business to the Gateway and growing existing accounts, in close partnership with regional & global teams. The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded product leader. You will need to leverage your product leadership skills & business acumen to scale Gateway Solutions across Europe, be execution focused to drive product growth and comfortable acting as the voice of the customer.
Responsibilities

• Own the Go-to-Market strategy of EGS in the region.

• Leads broad commercialization initiatives including establishing go to market approach for products and driving commercial plans to ensure success.

• Acts as an expert, advocate and champion for EGS to internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to engage with senior executives internally with Digital, Acceptance, Services and externally across Banks, FinTechs, Merchants, PSPs and Partners

• Advises and supports sales by recommending and influencing product pricing, drives engagement with the divisional Customer Service Centers, Account Management, Sales & Business Development teams and leadership and external engagement via events

• Oversees the teams' input and validations on idea generation, concept validation, and business case development or existing product enhancements and new product development

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge and insight into the Payments ecosystem in Europe including domestic schemes, APMs, Private Label with experience in payment gateways, PSPs, acquiring and payment processing. Knowledge of Digital Payment Solutions such as Click To Pay, Tokenisation and PassKeys are a must.

• Demonstrate strong product commercialization experience showcasing excellent business acumen

• Brings significant market knowledge to successfully deploy products and services.

• Extensive experience in a commercial environment including direct interaction with customers.

• Experience setting direction for strategic go-to-market plans for a variety of diverse products and solutions and leveraging market insights to differentiate from competitors

• Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to audiences of varying technical ability

• Possess the ability to leverage data not only for generating reports and analysis but also for crafting compelling narratives that convey insights effectively

• Strong executive presence, strategic and creative mindset with ability to influence stakeholders within matrix and cross functional organizations, at Executive level

• Possess strong interpersonal abilities and adeptness in building and nurturing relationships

• Fluency in a European Language would be advantageous
