Labcorp is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Product Marketing to lead the strategic positioning and growth of our expanding portfolio of data-driven products and services across our Diagnostics business.

The Director will influence the landscape for Labcorp's data and technology offerings, utilizing market insights, customer feedback, and a deep understanding of industry trends to craft compelling value propositions. He/she will collaborate closely with product managers / SMEs in the business, marketing teams for different audiences, cross-functional teams to align product positioning with market and customer needs and drive business growth through go-to-market campaigns. The Director will also influence the role of AI in our solutions and drive the integration of these capabilities into our broader product offerings. Data is the foundation for AI, and this leadership position will focus on the integration of AI capabilities across various domains, including Diagnostics, Central Labs, and Electronic Health Records (EHR), leveraging extensive datasets at Labcorp to innovate and enhance our solutions. This is an opportunity to spearhead innovation at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and impact at scale.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis and Research: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis. Engage with customers and industry experts to gather insights that refine target market segments and audience understanding.
  • Product Innovation: Stay attuned to customer feedback, industry trends, and competitive activities to inform product roadmap and innovation strategies.
  • Product Evangelism: Champion the existing products internally and externally to enhance brand visibility and drive adoption.
  • AI and Data Products Strategy & Leadership: Explore and implement state-of-the-art AI technologies such as deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning to enhance data & technology products' capabilities. Drive innovation in key areas, including personalized care models that adapt to user behavior, health data, and contextual insights in real-time. Work closely with Product Managers to define business and technical requirements for integration connections between Labcorp's data platform and Electronic Health Records systems, insurance systems, payment gateways, and other services. Ensure ethical AI practices, compliance with healthcare regulations, and a user-first approach in all implementations.
  • Strategic Market Positioning: Identify key market segments and personas, tailoring messaging and positioning strategies to effectively reach and resonate with the target audience.
  • Product Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and execution of new product launches and campaigns for existing products.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Develop and implement GTM strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams. Drive business growth for existing products, in partnership with Customer Marketers and Commercial / Sales team.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Exploring third party strategic partnerships to drive Labcorp data driven solutions
  • Enablement and Training: Work with internal SMEs to develop and deliver training materials, sales collateral, and demos to empower Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. Support lead generation and enhance conversion through sales kits, case studies, and other collateral.
  • Lead Generation & Funnel Optimization: Collaborate with Sales, and Customer Marketing teams to continuously track and optimize the marketing leads and sales funnel for your products.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Over a long-term, lead and mentor a team of customer marketers and product marketers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, IT, engineering, and scientific discipline director, to align AI capabilities with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years in product marketing in technology / data marketing is preferred
  • Experience and understanding of Diagnostics business within healthcare industry is preferred
  • Experience working in a large global matrix organization, and building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of marketing data and technology, Diagnostics industry, EHR data, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
  • Understanding of machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and predictive analytics, cloud and high-performance computing environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, Databricks, Apache Spark)
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data and AI-driven diagnostics.
  • Experience with scalable AI systems and delivering impactful solutions at scale.
  • Experience with healthcare data and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.) and electronic health records
  • Experience working with data-driven products and solutions is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or in Computer Science, AI, Data Science; MBA with a focus on Marketing is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects independently and effectively coordinating with various stakeholders.

Pay Range: $170-190k

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
