Title and Summary

Analyst, Analytics & Metrics (GBSC)

Overview:
• Support multiple analytics projects and initiatives within Global Business Services Center (GBSC) and Mastercard.

Role:
• Identify, design and implement data and process automation solutions to support GBSC Operations and the global organization.
• Build and support an infrastructure to enable effectively working with large sets of unstructured and structured data.
• Leverage APIs to retrieve data from various applications
• Develop new queries and Alteryx flows for extracting, transforming and analyzing data to address project requirements.
• Develop Tableau dashboards and reports that adhere to visualization best practices and communicate a story.
• Participate in drafting documents and presentations for communicating innovations, ideas, or discoveries.
• Contribute to strengthening a motivated, innovative and productive team that creates next generation analytics for the GBSC and Mastercard.
• Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve analytics and reporting services delivery.
• Work closely with GBSC stakeholders to identify short-term and long-term objective alignment.

All About You:
• BA required, with an emphasis in business discipline such as data science, analytics, accounting, finance, etc.
• Prior relevant work experience in data analytics
• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions;
• Problem solving mentality, resourcefulness and creativity in identifying solutions;
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build professional relationships, influence and negotiate;
• Full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, production and maintenance of analytics products;
• Proficiency with data preparation/ETL and working with relational databases;
• Strong knowledge of SQL; ability to write, execute and optimize performance of complex queries;
• Expertise in information delivery and knowledge of data visualization techniques for preparing operational and executive dashboards;
• Experience in developing complex analytics applications and data consulting;
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both technical and non-technical customers;
• Software development life cycle experience on analytics engagements across strategy, design and implementation
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis techniques and data mining methodologies.
Desired Capabilities
• Master's degree
• Expertise in Alteryx or any other ETL tool;
• Expertise in Tableau or any other visualization tool;
• Data modeling and leveraging APIs;
• Knowledge of a programming language like R or Python is a plus;
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and methods is a plus;
• Experience with predictive analytics and optimization models is a plus.

Pay Range
O'Fallon, Missouri: $63,000 - $98,000 USD

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
