The Opportunity
As the Project Management (PM) Development Coach, you will work closely with the CFPMO team, Corporate Function senior leadership, and MassMutual PMOs to lead and coach project management employees focused on skill development and best practices to improve project execution and successful outcomes across the Corporate Functions and broader MassMutual.
The Team
The CFPMO oversees the execution of initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as defines and owns project management standards across the company. The team is focused on driving and aligning critical programs and projects across our Corporate Functions, creating more visibility into this work, while enabling better prioritization, collaboration, and execution.

The Impact
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to scope, and develop a comprehensive coaching strategy that supports employee growth and performance
- Partner with leadership and HR to ensure the project management job framework reflects the standards being established, skill development resources are available and used Lead and provide the individualized coaching of project management professionals focused on skill development and best practices to improve project execution and successful outcomes
- Promote and reinforce enterprise-wide standards and frameworks to ensure consistency of best practices and high-quality delivery
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to foster a community of practice where project management industry trends and best practices can be exchanged to ensure project teams remain responsive to industry changes (i.e., emerging tools and technology)
- Continuously assess and enhance the progress, effectiveness, and engagement of coaching within the CFPMO
- Provide regular updates and reports on coaching outcomes to key stakeholders, including identifying areas of improvement in the adoption and understanding of project management practices
- Establish process to monitor coaching impact and provide resource managers with standards to assess performance in line with MassMutual's performance management philosophy and process
The Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of experience as a project management coach
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and expertise
The Ideal Qualifications
- Expertise in coaching project management professionals across different career stages
- Proven experience in designing and implementing a structured career path framework for project management
- Coaching certification
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and capabilities (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Clarity, MS Office 365, SharePoint, etc.)
- Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP, PgMP, PfMP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Agile, and Lean)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

Salary Range: $121,800.00-$159,800.00
